Buffalo Trace Distillery · Frankfort, Kentucky, USA
"America's most award-winning distillery, in a bottle you can actually find."
DL SCORE
In a world of allocated bourbons and lottery releases, Buffalo Trace is the quiet hero — widely available, consistently excellent, and priced so fairly it almost feels like a mistake. This is the bourbon that built the distillery's reputation before Pappy Van Winkle made it famous.

The Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky has been making whiskey continuously since 1787, surviving Prohibition by operating as a medicinal whiskey producer. It is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America and has won more awards than any other distillery on earth — over 1,000 gold medals and counting.
Made from a mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley (the exact proportions are a trade secret), distilled in column and pot stills, then aged in new charred American white oak barrels in century-old warehouses. The famous limestone-filtered Kentucky water is central to the flavour profile.
"Buffalo Trace is the bourbon I reach for when I want something that just works — every single time, without drama."

◆ FUN FACT
Buffalo Trace is home to the Antique Collection — including Pappy Van Winkle, George T. Stagg, and William Larue Weller — some of the most sought-after and expensive bourbons in the world. The standard Buffalo Trace expression is made at the same distillery, using similar methods, for a fraction of the price.
The benchmark for everyday bourbon. Consistent, characterful, and criminally affordable — Buffalo Trace is the first bottle every bourbon drinker should own.
